So the first thing you need to know is that this automatic cat feeder can be programmed to dish out up to four meals a day. That should cover about 90 percent of us cat owners.  There are bigger and more expensive dispensers that allow you to program more meals but, hey, for this price, four is good.

Secure
The screw top lid on this bad boy is pretty much cat tamper proof. A bunch of reviewers on Amazon make this point. So many feeder have a problem with securing the hopper for aggressive and persistent kitties. And it’s pretty lock-tight, which means the food will stay a bit fresher over time.

Infrared Technology
The unit has a special little feature that I like a lot. The built-in infrared sensor basically checks for food in the bowl before dispensing. So what? Well, the idea is that the chute won’t get clogged from multiple feedings piling up. And, of course, it’ll prevent food from spilling over. This is super helpful and definitely a standout feature.

Batteries of Adapter?
I love when manufacturers ad some redundancy. And the Iseebiz Automatic Cat Feeder 3L Pet Food Dispenser Feeder scored highly in my book because I can plug the thing in or feed it some batteries as back up. (It takes 3 D batteries, not included.) Especially if you travel or work long hours, if there’s a power outage your cat will be fine. Redundancy in writing is bad. Redundancy in pet dispensers is good.

Come and Get It!
I have friends who absolutely have to have build-in voice recording to call Fido to his meal. For me, it’s not an issue. But that the company added this to the features is great. So you can record a little 10 second clip calling your cat to mealtime. It’s not very loud, to be honest, but it’s there if you really need to lay down a recording.

Ease of Use
And, finally, the control panel is accessible (you’ll be surprised how often that’s not the case) and the unit is easy to program. I’ve looked over the manual and you likely won’t need to consult it much to program the thing.  And they even throw in a voice recorder, which isn’t all that great but I know some of you absolutely swear by this feature.

Who Should Buy the Iseebiz Automatic Cat Feeder 3L Pet Food Dispenser Feeder

I’m hard-pressed to find pet owners who would not be well served by the the Iseebiz Automatic Cat Feeder 3L Pet Food Dispenser Feeder. Well, if you’ve just transitioned your purry friend to wet food, this dispenser won’t work. And probably if you travel over extended periods. Six cups of food in the hopper, should last you a week but if you’re gone longer than that, you really need something like the PetSafe Healthy Pet Simply Feed Automatic Feeder.

Otherwise, I feel as though the the Iseebiz Automatic Cat Feeder 3L Pet Food Dispenser Feeder works well in just about any situation. It’s got all the standard features, a good solid capacity, and throws in some great features.

The Bottom Line

So in case you haven’t figured it out, I heartily recommend the the Iseebiz Automatic Cat Feeder 3L Pet Food Dispenser Feeder. With the qualifications I noted above, this is as good as it’s gonna get for the price. Yes, you could go up market with more capacity and smart technology. But if you don’t need that, don’t bother.

I like the the Iseebiz Automatic Cat Feeder 3L Pet Food Dispenser Feeder. The only thing is that I think the company is Chinese (judging from the funky English on the product description) and so it may not have the best customer service. (Frankly, it doesn’t come up in the reviews, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention it.)

It even has the Amazon’s Choice badge.

Overall, it has 4.3 stars out of five with 566 reviews. Sixty-seven percent of the reviews are 5 stars and another 18% are four-star ratings. That’s good.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about based on the reviews on Amazon.
